چکیده
The three-dimensional flow over a low-aspect-ratio (low- $A\!R$ ) trapezoidal plate is investigated experimentally with focus on how the tip effects impact structure and dynamics of separation bubble. chord-based Reynolds number $5800$ , angle attack varies from $4^\circ$ to $10^\circ$ . Once separates, bubble emerges features swallow-tailed that shrinks near midspan, which first found for flows low- plates. This develops into conventional single-tailed as increases. Moreover, vortex shedding within restored multiple asynchronously measured local velocity fields. It revealed leading-edge undergoes novel transformation C-shape an M-shape vortex. stems mass transport near-wall spanwise flow, affects fluid motion windward side head, strengthening accelerating head. strengthened head facilitates entrainment high-momentum outer flow. responsible formation structure. These findings help fill gaps left by downwash at low angles wings, are value in improving cruising gliding performance micro-air vehicles.

Flutter Analysis of a Low Aspect Ratio Swept- Back Trapezoidal Wing at Low Subsonic Flow
A linear, aeroelastic analysis of a low aspect ratio swept back trapezoidal wing modeled as a cantilever plate is presented. An analytical and numerical formulation for both the aerodynamic forcing and structural response of the wing was developed. The analytical model uses a three dimensional time domain vortex lattice aerodynamic method. A Rayleigh-Ritz approach has been used to transfer equa...
متن کاملDynamics of a vapor bubble near a thin elastic plate
Numerical and experimental results show that during the collapse phase of a vapor bubble near a rigid boundary, in the absence of strong buoyancy forces, a liquid micro jet is developed on the side of the bubble far from the rigid surface and directed towards it. Numerical and experimental results also show that, in the case of a bubble near a free surface, during the collapse phase of the bubb...

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
Turbulent Streamwise Edge Effects in the Boundary Layer on a Flat Plate Finite Aspect Ratio
A detailed investigation of the turbulent boundary layer on a flat plate of finite aspect ratio at zero incidence has been made, incorporating measurements of mean velocity profiles and skin friction over one surface of the plate. Skin friction was measured using Prof. Preston's surface-tube technique with the N.P.L. calibration, and this is justified by comparison with the measured momentum de...
متن کاملDean Flow Dynamics in Low-Aspect Ratio Spiral Microchannels
A wide range of microfluidic cell-sorting devices has emerged in recent years, based on both passive and active methods of separation. Curvilinear channel geometries are often used in these systems due to presence of secondary flows, which can provide high throughput and sorting efficiency. Most of these devices are designed on the assumption of two counter rotating Dean vortices present in the...
